8hrs into this drawing (I think), the face is always the hardest part getting the skin tone and eyes just right to capture the person. I think I’ve nailed it but only when I’m completely finished will I be able to see. I’m really excited about this piece, it will be the first time I’ve used photoshop without my bamboo tablet 😢. I’m using the iPad Pro and Astropad, which allows me to project photoshop onto my iPad and draw. Its nice because it gives me the power of photoshop but feels like natural painting because i’m not having to co-ordinate my hands because I can see as I draw. I found some really nice paintbrushes which I’m keen to keep using, can’t wait to see the final piece 😬

Helmet is a design for a Moto blogger, so working closely to tweak the design so he’s happy with it. Its done in illustrator but using the “Astra pad” app so I can use the ipad to draw directly on the ipad but used the computers power, such a cool app.

The coloured rose is a sketch Ive had in my mind for a while now, different coloured petals using a coloured pencil texture on Pro create (ipad).

Website is finally up and Running!

After a couple of weeks of tinkering, the old site is finally gone. Welcome to my new site 🙂

Baby Caelan My first portrait on my ipad pro, this is baby Calean (my cousins son). A cheeky wee monkey done just for fun and to practice with the apple pencil / sensu brush. Very pleased with the end result, it will become and A3 print.
