Vallentines (4th)

I wanted something super sweet but funny for Valentine so I decided on love heart sweets with a funny message inside. I really like how it came out as a printed design even more three-dimensional than I had imagined.

Drawn in Procreate using chalk and airbrush to create a soft look, printed out on an A4 Gloss card 210gsm folds to an A5 to finish.

Happy New House!

Building up my collection of cards/designs and I happened to need a cool design for a new house, I couldn’t decide on colours so I decided to do a blended background colour to allow the keys + Keychain to stand out.

Adelines 2nd Birthday

Another year passed so I needed another card for Iain’s niece Adeline whos turning two this year, I wanted something a little different from last year.

Drawn in Procreate using coloured pencils/watercolour smudge, printed out on an A4 Gloss card 210gsm folds to an A5 to finish.

Little Robot

My first drawing of the year. This year I have decided to try to make everyone’s Birthday cards so it will give me something to draw or create each month throughout the year. First up is my uncle Nick who loves computers and technology which reminded me of a wee robot so that’s what I made.

Christmas Robin

For this year’s Christmas cards, I decided to go with a Robin because it reminds me of loved ones long gone (especially my Grandma). They are such beautiful little creatures and so colorful compared to the white winter backdrop, I thought it would make the perfect card to warm people’s hearts.

Lovingly drawn in Procreate using coloured pencils with a watercolor background, printed out on an A4 matt card 210gsm folds to an A5 to finish.

If Zoe was a flower

Sometimes I just find an object that remind me of a person and in this case I felt a close up of a beautiful pink flower opening up was like a girl I know. Sharp attention to detail in the centre but softens out as it unravels to the outside and so if Zoe was a flower she would be this one.

Created on Procreate and printed out on an A3 silk finish but fits as a A4 to allow a wide white frame to bring you eyes into the centre. I felt this presentation suited the picture best.

We’re not the Freaks

Inspired by a friend I created this wee illustration of Animal from Sesame Street. I wanted it to be over the top and have a rough texture. It was printed on A4 and mounted on brown foam board and given as a gift.

Created on Procreate using Evolve, Ink Bleed, Monoline, Soft Airbrush and Bonobo Chalk brushes.
